Giving back

I cannot believe I have been away from my blog for this long.  Here's a little something to keep you occupied for a little...

So, I was doing my usual online checking of websites today when I realized that most of the websites I visit on a daily basis are etailers.  I love them, perhaps, to the point where I have a problem.  I confess, I love getting packages in the mail.  It's like a little unbirthday gift to myself every time one come.  Etailers aren't with out problems.  Some have insane waits from the time you put your order in until the time you receive your lovely package in the mail.  Others send you sweet emails when one accidentally order two things, but decide that you want to get them both, and that sweet being on the other end of email tells you that she discounts when you buy two.  Unbeknown st to you how steep that discount truly is.  WOW!  I thought I would share with you a list of some of my beloved etailers and a little review of each.

    I can't believe I've been buying from the etailer for six years.  It's a perfume shop and a delightful one at that.  Want to smell like the devil's bakery? Gluttony has you covered.  A wanton, sex kitten and perfectly irresistible?  Snake Oil.  This list goes on and on.  Beth, the nose behind it all is an amazing and sometimes baffling perfumer (how she makes this smell cold or like wet marble, I'll never know).  You can order samples (imp's ear) from the site or take the plunge with a 5ml bottle.  This etailer is notorious for the wait between order and you getting your product.  It's a small company, but during busy seasons or if they just launched a new set of limited editions, you can expect a three week wait or more sometimes.  You can find reviews on the forum at www.bpal.org (beware of the rabid fan base).

    Kythryne Aisling, is the miracle wire bender at this severely tempting etailer.  She uses precious, semi precious, beads and other sundries to make beautiful and magical pieces of fine art wire jewelry.  Another one of those veteran etailers that I've been buying from for years.  She's a delight to work with, whether you're buying one of her premade works of art, or you have something in mind that you would like to have made and a budget in which to work with.  She updates her site with new and beautiful jewelry about once or twice a week.

      Brooke is a soap goddess.  She is the brains behind the super sexy Villainess Soap.  You can take care of all of your showering needs here with her sugar scrubs, soaps, skin care and even lotions.  She also makes her own perfumes if you're interested in layering scents to last all day long.  Her scents are decadent, and will take you to years gone by when women were women and smelled completely beautiful.

    Looking for that vitamin from Whole Paycheck at a discounted rate?  Or perhaps an all natural skincare line that you love but find too expensive other places you've looked?  Well, look no further.  Vitacost is your source for all vitamin and "natural" stuff online.  The shipping is super fast, even at the cheapest choice and I've never had a problem with any order placed.

    This is a new found love.  Delicious and lingering smelling haircare.  Most of the scents are foodie, but the new owner (who is a real gem) is branching out into ambers and more interesting things.  I took a chance on this one a couple of weeks ago.  I was sick of bouncing from one store bought shampoo to the next, being completely dissatisfied every time, because, no matter how high or low end, there was something just not right.  Cocoapink's shampoos are completely SLS free.  This means that they are colour safe and for the most part, not irritating to the skin.  They don't lather, but my hair has never felt cleaner or more nourished.  She has different conditioners, one with proteins and silicone and one without.  She offers serums, and leave ins.  Beverly (the owner) also offer some body care and a little skin care.  I haven't tried these yet, but once I work my way through the mound of stuff in my linen closet, I will certainly try them.  I usually have my products within a week.  Everything is delightfully scented and samples are available upon request.  This is the etailer that refunded me nearly half the price of a gift set when I bought two, WOW!!!

* www.amazon.com
    I know, I have a Kindle.  But some books you just need a hard copy of.  You don't necessarily need a new one, or one that even looks new, this is where my love for used books on amazon comes in.  Books have become insanely expensive.  Why would I buy one at Barnes and Nobel (I know I know, Miranda, just go to the damn library already) when you can get a 20.00 hard back copy of the book for 2.00!  It's such a guilty pleasure, and I can't help myself.

Last, but not least....

* www.etsy.com
    What can I say about etsy?  It's mecca.  Any and everything your little heart could possibly desire can be found on etsy.  From zombie pin up jewelry to handmade powder puffs, you're set.  Explore the site, you and your bank account can hate me later.
